ABOUT MITA
Mita’s journey into yoga, spirituality and holistic well-being began in her early life and continues to shape her very being and the path she walks.
A graduate of King’s College, University of London, with a degree in Biochemistry, she initially pursued a career in Accountancy while remaining deeply committed to yoga, meditation and holistic health. Her passion for these practices led her to train as a yoga teacher, qualifying with the Vivekananda Yoga Research Foundation in Bangalore in 1992. She has been teaching ever since, sharing her knowledge of yoga, meditation and well-being with students from all walks of life.
In addition to yoga and meditation, Mita is a certified iRest Level 1 teacher and offers Amnanda and Moksha Therapy. She holds qualifications in Reflexology, Indian Head Massage, Prenatal Massage, and Holistic Massage with Anatomy and Physiology. Her work has been featured in Miriam Stoppard’s DVD Having a Baby, and she continues to inspire others with her integrative approach to health and well-being.
Her explorations extend to Ayurveda, Homeopathy, and other holistic modalities, deepening her understanding of the interconnectedness of mind, body and spirit.
Mita volunteers for the Isha Foundation, founded by Sadhguru, supporting its mission of inner transformation and global well-being.
She is also a volunteer with ServiceSpace, founded by Nipun Mehta, an organization run entirely by volunteers, dedicated to ignite the fundamental generosity in ourselves and others, creating both inner and outer transformation.
